Training that helps your people get more from their systems
Build practical skills around the work your people need to do. Combine trainer-led sessions, tailored programs, coaching and online learning to get more value from your applications and information.
Get more value from the systems you already own
Many organisations have applications with capabilities their people are not yet using. Staff learn enough of the records system to get through the day, the confident few carry everyone else, and the features that would save real time sit untouched. Training can help close that gap, alongside suitable configuration and clear working processes.
WyldLynx trains people because that is where the value of an information system actually lives. Our job is to help your organisation run as efficiently as it can and get the best possible return on the applications you already own, and no amount of configuration does that if the people using the system do not know what it can do.
Why we train the way we do
We have been training Australian government agencies, councils, universities, health services and regulated organisations since 2009, on the same systems we implement, support and build on. That shapes how we approach it.
Training has to change what people do on Monday. A course that covers every menu is not the goal. We work out what your people need to do in their actual jobs, in your configuration, with your terminology, and teach that. Examples come from your work, not a generic dataset.
Use support experience to guide learning. Our support desk sees which questions come up again and again. That feeds straight into what we teach. Training can help people resolve familiar tasks more confidently and reduce avoidable questions.
Training should be measurable. Less time finding information. Fewer repeat questions to the records team. More confident new starters. Less double handling. We agree what better looks like before we start, so you can see whether it worked.
Training should earn a credential. Our courses use digital credentials through Credly to recognise learning. We confirm the applicable credential and completion or assessment requirements when planning your training.
Flexible, because every organisation learns differently
A council onboarding six new starters a year needs something very different from an agency rolling out a web client to two thousand staff, or a university whose records team wants to master retention and disposal. So we do not sell one format.
- Trainer-led sessions, online or in your classroom, for a team or a whole organisation.
- Tailored programs and one-to-one coaching for records officers, administrators and technical staff.
- Train-the-trainer, so your own people can carry the knowledge forward.
- Branded guides, procedures and task videos built around your configuration and your words.
- Onboarding and refresher training timed to new starters, upgrades and process changes.
- The WyldLynx online training portal: searchable, available around the clock, branded for your organisation, with usage metrics that show you where the next training need is.
Start with a single session or build a program. Mix formats. Scale up for an upgrade and back down afterwards. The plan follows your needs, not our catalogue.
What we train
- OpenText Content Manager (formerly TRIM, HP TRIM, HP Records Manager, HPE Content Manager and Micro Focus Content Manager), from first login to administrator and technical configuration, across the desktop and web clients. See Content Manager training for the full module list by role.
- Content Manager with Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive integration, so staff keep records compliant without leaving the tools they work in.
- DocuSign for Content Manager and the WyldLynx SmartTools suite.
- OpenText Core Data Discovery and Risk Insights and the Data Security Platform, for privacy, risk and security teams.
- Records and information management awareness for staff who are not records specialists: discuss learning needs around what a record is, why it matters and the obligations that apply.
- AI readiness for information teams: what good records practice means for the AI tools your organisation is starting to use. See AI readiness.
Content Manager training
Content Manager is where most of our training work happens, and it has its own page for a reason: the modules by role, delivery formats, versions covered, what is included and how credentials work are all set out there in full.
How a training engagement works
- A conversation about the work. We look at who uses the system, what they need to do, which version and interfaces you are on, and where the friction is. Sometimes that review shows the fix is configuration rather than training, and we will say so.
- A plan that fits. The right mix of sessions, coaching, guides, videos and portal access, scoped to your people and your budget.
- Delivery in your context. Your configuration, your classification scheme, your processes. Practice environments where hands-on work matters.
- Credentials and materials that last. Applicable Credly credentials, and the guides and videos agreed in your program for your organisation to keep and maintain.
- A look at what changed. We check the measures we agreed at the start, and the portal metrics if you use it, and recommend what comes next.
Who you will be working with
WyldLynx is a Brisbane-based information governance and records management consultancy, founded in 2009. We are an OpenText Gold Partner, ISO 27001 certified for information security management, and a RIMPA Global industry partner. Our trainers are practitioners: the same people who implement, support and write software for Content Manager, including records managers who understand the recordkeeping standards your organisation answers to.
We also run our own business on Content Manager. OpenText's published customer story about WyldLynx describes how we use it for documents, support tracking, time recording and training delivery, and a reported estimate of ten hours a week saved finding information. We train from experience, not from a slide deck.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only train on Content Manager?
No. Content Manager is our speciality and has its own page, but we also train on its Microsoft 365 integrations, DocuSign for Content Manager, SmartTools, OpenText Core Data Discovery and Risk Insights and the Data Security Platform, and can discuss records and information management awareness needs for general staff.
Can you help experienced users as well as beginners?
Yes. Most of our work is with organisations that have used the system for years. We look at current skills, the capabilities going unused and the work people need to do, then scope the right level, from everyday use through to technical administration.
Do we need to upgrade before training?
No. We train on the version you have. If the review shows a newer version would solve a problem, we will tell you, but that is a separate conversation.
Can training use our own processes and branding?
Yes. Examples, guides and videos can be built around your terminology, your classification scheme and your configuration, and branded as your own.
